The colors and forms create a presence I can't resist. However, I find it difficult to convey the presence of the forms and colors in the landscape without specific references to local color, form and shape. I think this distracts from the content of the painting.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So I'm trying it again. This painting comes from a beaver pond area on the west side of the Rockies about 75 miles east of Prince George, B.C. I'm a little hesitant to use color only in suggest interaction because I believe form is better and because color can only be seen in color and not black and white. I believe a painting should be as successful in black and white as it is in color. &lt;br /&gt;Composition is tricky with this subject because of the centering of the tree.
